How to Log Out of Facebook on All Devices

If you left Facebook open on a computer, phone, or tablet you no longer have access to, you can log out of Facebook remotely without having the device with you.

Facebook also lets you see where your account is active and end one session, multiple sessions, or log out of all devices at once.

Log out of Facebook on all devices from your phone

You can sign out of every device directly from the Facebook app on Android or iPhone.

Open the Facebook app and tap Menu (☰).
Go to Settings & privacy > Settings.
Open Accounts Center and tap Password and security.
Select Where you’re logged in.
Choose your Facebook account.
Tap Select devices to log out.
Tap Select all to mark every session.
Tap Log out and confirm if prompted.

Select all to log out of Facebook on all devices — Facebook lets you select all active sessions and log out of every device at once.

You can also select only some devices if you don’t want to log out everywhere.

If you include the phone you’re currently using, you’ll need to log back in on that device.

Log out of Facebook on all devices from a computer

You can also log out of all Facebook sessions from a web browser on your PC or Mac.

Open Facebook and log in.
Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner.
Go to Settings & privacy > Settings.
Open Accounts Center.
Select Password and security > Where you’re logged in.
Choose your Facebook account.
Click Select devices to log out.
Choose Select all.
Click Log out and confirm if prompted.

Log out of Facebook on all devices from a computer — From Facebook Accounts Center, you can select all active sessions and log out of every device from your computer.

Facebook will end the selected sessions.

How to log out of Facebook on other devices

If you only want to disconnect one phone, computer, or tablet, you don’t need to log out everywhere.

From Where you’re logged in:

Select your Facebook account.
Choose the device or session you want to disconnect.
Select Log out.

Select a device and log out of Facebook remotely — Choose a specific device from your active sessions and log out of Facebook remotely.

Facebook will end that session without logging you out of your other devices.

What to do if you don’t recognize a device

An unfamiliar device or location doesn’t always mean someone has accessed your account. Location information can vary depending on your internet provider, mobile network, browser, or VPN.

If you’re sure the session isn’t yours, log out of it from the Where you’re logged in section, then take these additional steps:

Change your Facebook password to one you don’t use on other websites.
Review the remaining sessions and disconnect any other devices you don’t recognize.
Turn on two-factor authentication from Accounts Center > Password and security.
Make sure the email address and phone number associated with your account are still yours.

If you can no longer access your account or someone has changed your information, use Facebook’s account recovery options.

Logging out of the suspicious session may not be enough if someone else knows your password, since they could sign in again.
